I've now realized how cool rocket packs are and I think I'll need to paint one in the future.

The colors are beginning to come through, although I feel it needs a lot more work.

After adding some color to the background and hints to a city in the distance, the narrative is finally complete. Now I'm switching gears to focus on making the actual painting look 'good'.

So, another 3 hours, and the concept is starting to show itself. A Gatsby-era MC. It needs more, but I'm working on it.

So, 3 1/2 hours later. I'm trying a new approach, the 'jump into the painting without a clear idea what's going on' method. The brushstrokes have a looser feel, and I'm trying to get comfortable with that idea.

I overheard big US/Spain upset, and realized that a panda could blend in well with soccer balls.

I'm currently trying out a new technique to render. Tree leaves using the patchwork style. It's labor intensive, but that's normal for trying new things. I'm thinking that catipillars need to be hiding amongst the branches.
