Also, just sketching out a concept for my next painting.

This was was done last night for a garden party.

This new painting has gone through some changes. This was the first incarnation (just the corner)

I originally felt that the water effect was too busy, so I simplified it (it hurts when you erase work!)

Then it became apparent that the background was getting a little heavy...

I'm now happy with it.

I decided to paint a palmetto tree.

just the beginning stages, but it should end with a nice 'painting in a painting' effect.

Last night at Kulture Klash I displayed a painting I did on cardboard.

This pic is with my buddy Trevor in order to show the scale.

I spent this morning drawing in Washington park as part of a fundraiser for high school art programs. Here is a peek of what I did...

This is a detail of Rob & mine's latest. I'm especially excited about the painting because nit only do I get a chance to personify his bird of also give me fun take on taped photographs.

I'll also be starting a new pallette and felt this one was worth documenting.

I'm trying to fit in some 'personal work' in with the other fun paintings. Here is a small one of a grizzled old man asking for milk (wasn't this a scene from 'Back to the future 3?)

Another work in progress

For the second time I've adjusted the background. I felt that the deep blues were enveloping the cat, while this robin's egg/slate mix rests where it should. Tomorrow I'm dropping it off for Rob to put his final touches on, and then it's done!

So this cat is almost complete!
